City History Club notebooks, 1910.

The City History Club was run by Caroline Hewins, a librarian known for her work with the Hartford Public Library. This collection contains the notebooks of two students who participated in the program, Rebecca Miesel and Anna Goldberg. Miesel lived on North Street in Hartford, was a participant in the Out Door School held at Goodwin Park, and was 13 at the time she was a member of the club. Goldberg lived on Village Street in Hartford, was 12, and noted she was in Room 26, Grade 7, at the Brown School. Both girls wrote a paragraph or two about each of the club's field trips. Goldberg included several post cards from their destinations.
